Athletics

Welcome back!
On Monday all the Nui Children (Including Me!) went to the sports park for something called athletics day. On athletics day some people went early so they could do the 400 m sprint or the 800 m sprint. I didn't do any of those sprints. 1st was the 100 m sprint. I came 4th or 5th in that race.

Next was the soft ball throw I think I did well with it but I didn't get into the finals.

After the softball throw it was hurdles - everyone was so fast and speedy!

When we finished the hurdles (which was very fast) we walked over to the long jump

The long jump was a very close one. I was so close to beating someone's score who was in the finals. I was so close!!!

Then it was time for the 200 m sprint I came 4th or 5th just like the 100 m sprint!!!

There is just one more event to go the high jump!!!

I could not do the high jump because I skinned my toes on the track OWWWW!!!! But it was fun to watch. There was a practice one and a normal one. The normal one looked pretty tall!!

The secret life of pets

(Movie Script)

Chloe is the owner of a beautiful dog named Max. One day Chloe came home with a surprise for Max.

“Oh Max!!!!” She Shouted, Max Bolted to the door Chanting “She’s Home She’s finally home!” When he reached the door a Giant dog came rushing through.

“Max say hi to Duke” Chloe said, She continued “hey Duke you don’t have a bed you can sleep on this blanket”. “Good night you two”. (Fast forword a few days later)

A man comes around to the apartment Blocks to pick up all the dogs for their daily walk. ”Yay He finally took us to the park” Max continued, “Hey Duke fetch me a stick”.

“Ahh, fine” Duke wasn't happy. He got a stick and came back to Max. “Duke, the sticks too small, get me another”.

“Hey Max come with me I found a place with loads of stick’s. Do you want to come so I don’t get the wrong stick?” “ok Duke”. All of a sudden Duke grabbed Max’s collar and ran into the sewer pipe.

Tip tap tip tap.

“Duke why did you bring me here” Max was furious. “What are you doing in my base” a Bunny said. His name was fluffy tale the bandit bunny. “if you're here you’re here for the bite of viper the snake because you got thrown out by your owner. But why should I let you have the bite though? You both look perfectly normal to me”

Fluffy tale said. Max stuttered “P-p-p-p-please don’t hurt me or D-d-d-d-Duke because if you don’t hurt us I will tell you the truth that we were thrown out by our owners”. Tattoos, viper we got two new members on our side so we can rule yeh baby I can just taste it” fluffy tale said in excitement.

Tattoos is a pig and he is covered in well, tattoos. Just as could imagine.

“Alright tattoos put one of them in the pipe and then put the second one in when the first one has had the bite”.

Fluffy tale started victory dancing a little too early because little did he know they had a plan.

That was the end of that scene in the movie.

If you have seen the movie you would know that part is just a scene not the whole movie. If you haven't already seen the movie I would recommend seeing it. That movie so amazing and I also love the animation!!!

My visual art blog post

Everyone got to choose what art they wanted to do. Here are the three options:
Digital art, Painting and sketching.
I chose sketching I enjoyed my art and I am very proud of it.
I drew a Kiwi, Jar of pencils and  a cup of water with a straw.

I really like the Shadows and smudging the outside of them.

My favorite one is the Kiwi!!!

My Maths Blog

Welcome back to another blog post. I hope everyone had a great holiday!!!

Today I will be sharing my maths with you.

So lets get started. We have been learning are 5 x tables and I think I have been doing very well with them.
here are the 5 x tables:

5 x 0 = 0

5 x 1 = 5

5 x 2 = 10
5 x 3 = 15
5 x 4 = 20
5 x 5 = 25
5 x 6 = 30
5 x 7 = 35
5 x 8 = 40
5 x 9 = 45
5 x 10 = 50
5 x 11 = 55
5 x 12 = 60

In a group we go on our devices and go to this game called tables master we answer 20 lots of 5 x questions and get to see our finishing time my high score is 55 seconds.

OLYMPIC PBL REFLECTION

Project Topic: Volleyball

• Something I enjoyed about my project was Getting to make the AWESOME Slideshow because I had never made a Slideshow before. It is a lot of fun because you get to customize it.

• The most challenging thing about my project was getting all the information into place because It Took a while to find all the right resources to get my information.

• The main skill I got better at was Making notes I got better at it by Writing more and more everyday.

• Something interesting I learnt was Brazil is the top team in Volleyball.                         

• What I would most like to change about my project is instead of a slide show a model because it would be more fun to be a little creative.

• I would like to do my next PBL about Minecraft.

1. I was absorbed in the making of the slide show.

2. When someone was talking I tried to manage my distractions before I moved away.

3. I persevered when I was researching to find more facts and information.
