Reading Post Short Cut To school

Welcome Back!

Hi and welcome back to another blog post today I am going to show you my reading. For reading since are classroom is Star Wars themed I am the group called Chewbacca. here are all the groups:

Sky Walker, Leia, Boba, R2D2, Kylo Ren, Yoda, Hans Solo, Chewbacca, Greedo, Ray, Darth Vader and Jabba. My group had a story called short cut to school. My group had to do a summary, some key words for start, middle and end and for the start, middle and end we had to do a small summary.

Here is my reading:

Were late for school mum shouts at us we started running we had to go through the shortcut (Mrs Pratt’s garden) She’s not scary witch.

Enzo's 1st Birthday

I Know it might be a little bit crazy but we are celebrating are dogs 1st Birthday🎂!!! If you don't know who my dog is I did a post a while ago about him. His name is Enzo and he is a Siberian husky. Me, mum and dad are all very excited but dad also sorta think's that mum and me are a little bit crazy!!!

Mum has made a special something for Enzo. She filled half a container full of water a then put dog food in it. After that it went into the freezer to turn into a ice block for dog's!

Early in the morning Enzo also had a great big walk. But now he is so so so tired!!!

Scary Post

Welcome bloggers to another blog post. Today we are having a free choice post I decided to do something different I am going to tell you a spooky story that I started writing. Enjoy😀!!!

"Hi Summer" said Sienna as she approached the spooky mask's shop. "Hey Sienna" she shouted "I coming to get a mask what about you?" I asked "me too!" she said happily.
We walked into the shop 'Ding' "Hello" the shop owner said in a weird voice "how can I help you two today". Summer started talking "we both want really really spooky mask's" "Well I think I've got you covered there I have two very scary mask's". "Yay!!!" Summer and Me were so happy. She came back with a werewolf mask

Self-reflection task

Welcome back to my blog, Today I will show you my self-reflection task. It was a task that we have to answer 6 questions to go into our report so we had to reflect back on half of the year in Rimu hub:

1. It is an amazing experience to be in Rimu hub. My favorite thing about Rimu is the collaborating because we have learning buddies and in Rimu there is a lot of help. We all help each other. I think it is awesome to be able to choose our own workshops. We can choose the ones that we need to learn.  I think I am a very good learning buddy I am the older buddy to help my younger buddy. I help her a lot. Sometimes my buddy also helps me.

2. What do you think about being able to choose your own workshops? I think it is awesome to be able to choose our own workshops. We can choose the ones we need to learn.

3. What are you like as a learning buddy? I think I am a very good learning buddy I am the older buddy to help my younger buddy. I help her a lot. Sometimes my buddy also helps me.  

4. What is your favourite subject and why? Maths because it is fun & it helps my brain learn a lot. Maths is my favorite because it is also very challenging. I use my perseverance learning muscle to help me.

5. What learning muscle have you been focussed on this year? I have been focused on my resilience learning muscle in the resilience muscle absorption. Absorption is when you get stuck into your work.

6. What is you your favourite learning space and why? My favorite space is the quiet room because it is a very quiet and has a nice big space. In the quiet room I get way more things done to get to fun day.

Animal Report

I am learning to find information and put it into my own words. To get information you can get it off the internet or you can read a book. I got my information by doing both of those things. Please read my animal report. Diet Green sea turtles feed on sea grass that grows in the shallow sea water. How a green turtle moves A green sea turtle moves its flippers back and forth slowly like slow motion. Habitat Green sea turtles live in warm and shallow enough oceans for their food (sea grass) to grow. Prey Seabirds,crabs and raccoons eat baby sea turtles when they hatch out of their eggs. Special Characteristics Male and female sea turtles are equal in their size. The green sea turtle can grow up to be 28 inches tall. They can weigh up to be 1500 pounds. Their shell is thick, bony and heavy the shell is usually dark brown.They don't get their name from their shell they get it from their green flesh.

My Special Place in Hawke's Bay

Hello and welcome back to another blog post today I will be showing you my special place in HB writing I am very proud of this writing because I used all the scenes hear, smell, fell and taste.

Ocean Beach: A Special Place In Hawke’s Bay

I opened my eyes to a magnificent site. The sun was coming up behind the pale blue wave’s. The sun was reflecting on the water burning up my eyes. The waves came crashing into my feet and cool breeze starts flying up on my skin.

The smooth sand sticks between my toes as I walk towards the salty smell. I can hear the wave’s crashing down and joyful screams of the children as they play in the salty tasting water. Little sprinkles of water falls down like rain from the waterfall wave’s. Then the wave starts getting bigger as it fell over my body. I froze like an ice statue on the beach.

Now the sun was going down burning my eyes once again on the Ocean.

That’s why Ocean Beach is my favorite place and you should go there too.

Athletics

Welcome back!
On Monday all the Nui Children (Including Me!) went to the sports park for something called athletics day. On athletics day some people went early so they could do the 400 m sprint or the 800 m sprint. I didn't do any of those sprints. 1st was the 100 m sprint. I came 4th or 5th in that race.

Next was the soft ball throw I think I did well with it but I didn't get into the finals.

After the softball throw it was hurdles - everyone was so fast and speedy!

When we finished the hurdles (which was very fast) we walked over to the long jump

The long jump was a very close one. I was so close to beating someone's score who was in the finals. I was so close!!!

Then it was time for the 200 m sprint I came 4th or 5th just like the 100 m sprint!!!

There is just one more event to go the high jump!!!

I could not do the high jump because I skinned my toes on the track OWWWW!!!! But it was fun to watch. There was a practice one and a normal one. The normal one looked pretty tall!!

The secret life of pets

(Movie Script)

Chloe is the owner of a beautiful dog named Max. One day Chloe came home with a surprise for Max.

“Oh Max!!!!” She Shouted, Max Bolted to the door Chanting “She’s Home She’s finally home!” When he reached the door a Giant dog came rushing through.

“Max say hi to Duke” Chloe said, She continued “hey Duke you don’t have a bed you can sleep on this blanket”. “Good night you two”. (Fast forword a few days later)

A man comes around to the apartment Blocks to pick up all the dogs for their daily walk. ”Yay He finally took us to the park” Max continued, “Hey Duke fetch me a stick”.

“Ahh, fine” Duke wasn't happy. He got a stick and came back to Max. “Duke, the sticks too small, get me another”.

“Hey Max come with me I found a place with loads of stick’s. Do you want to come so I don’t get the wrong stick?” “ok Duke”. All of a sudden Duke grabbed Max’s collar and ran into the sewer pipe.

Tip tap tip tap.

“Duke why did you bring me here” Max was furious. “What are you doing in my base” a Bunny said. His name was fluffy tale the bandit bunny. “if you're here you’re here for the bite of viper the snake because you got thrown out by your owner. But why should I let you have the bite though? You both look perfectly normal to me”

Fluffy tale said. Max stuttered “P-p-p-p-please don’t hurt me or D-d-d-d-Duke because if you don’t hurt us I will tell you the truth that we were thrown out by our owners”. Tattoos, viper we got two new members on our side so we can rule yeh baby I can just taste it” fluffy tale said in excitement.

Tattoos is a pig and he is covered in well, tattoos. Just as could imagine.

“Alright tattoos put one of them in the pipe and then put the second one in when the first one has had the bite”.

Fluffy tale started victory dancing a little too early because little did he know they had a plan.

That was the end of that scene in the movie.

If you have seen the movie you would know that part is just a scene not the whole movie. If you haven't already seen the movie I would recommend seeing it. That movie so amazing and I also love the animation!!!

My visual art blog post

My Maths Blog

So lets get started. We have been learning are 5 x tables and I think I have been doing very well with them.
here are the 5 x tables:

5 x 2 = 10
5 x 3 = 15
5 x 4 = 20
5 x 5 = 25
5 x 6 = 30
5 x 7 = 35
5 x 8 = 40
5 x 9 = 45
5 x 10 = 50
5 x 11 = 55
5 x 12 = 60

In a group we go on our devices and go to this game called tables master we answer 20 lots of 5 x questions and get to see our finishing time my high score is 55 seconds.

• Something I enjoyed about my project was Getting to make the AWESOME Slideshow because I had never made a Slideshow before. It is a lot of fun because you get to customize it.

• The most challenging thing about my project was getting all the information into place because It Took a while to find all the right resources to get my information.

• The main skill I got better at was Making notes I got better at it by Writing more and more everyday.

• Something interesting I learnt was Brazil is the top team in Volleyball.                         

• What I would most like to change about my project is instead of a slide show a model because it would be more fun to be a little creative.

• I would like to do my next PBL about Minecraft.

Robotics YAY!!!!

Hello Everyone I have a different blog post for you today  
that blog is robotics. We built our robots out of Lego and used a remote to control them. We found out that some robots are not that smart they can be very dumb some others are amazing. It was very hard at starting to build when we got further in to building it got that little bit easier. 
Here are some of the parts that we had to build are robot with:

It was a fun experiance to build and work with a robot. If you have not done it before you should because it is very fun to work with robots!

At school we have been learning about the Olympics.
We learnt about athletes and sports.
Were doing a project like are passion project we could choose a sport, history, athletes and more. I decided I would choose a sport. That sport was Volleyball.

Holiday

Did you have a great holiday?

I had the best holiday ever. 2 things I have 2 things I wanted to share with you.

1. hair cut

2. Minecraft with my friend. 

1. My mum gave me a hair cut in the holidays. I love my hair cut. Mum cut my hair short and shaved the left side of my hair. At first I was really scared to have it done but I said yes anyway. 

2. Me and my friend Georgina love love love love love Minecraft. Minecraft is a game that is just like blocks you have to survive and you have to create. Georgina and I created an fire castle. In the castle we both created what we needed like a real house. When I did the bathroom I flooded the bath!!!! We made a backyard with cows, sheep and a pool. Georgina built the water slide. I built the diving board- it was 128 blocks high!!!!!!

Learning blog post!!!

You may have noticed from most of my blog posts I love writing. 

That is true that writing is awesome. I am going to show you my limerick poem:

There once was a girl named Sally

Who went to visit a valley

She liked the valley

She found an alley

In an alley there lived Sally.

In our limerick poem we had to have:

1. Five lines
2. Last word always rhyme
3. 8 to 9 syllables on the 1 and 2 line there had to be 5 to 6 syllables on the 3 and 4 line then 8 to 9 on the last line.
